Shine On

Unbox yourself. Let your hair down. Untame that wild beast within you. Dance and feel into your body. Shake your hips and move your arms and legs and belly. Let it jiggle. Let yourself sweat. What does it mean to be YOU? Cause I’ll bet it’s not sitting slouched over your computer scrolling through your Facebook feed.
I’ll bet it’s not hunched in a chair with your phone two inches to your face.
I’ll bet it’s not snacking on chips while watching your favorite drama.
What makes you come ALIVE?
Is it laughing, loving, learning something new?
Is it dancing, moving, feeling the sun shine on your face?
Is it being barefoot in the grass, or laying naked with your lover?
Or maybe it’s a quiet night laying under the stars.
Or a delicious meal you spent blood, sweat, and tears growing, foraging, and then cooking into something magnificent and new.
Why are you not doing those things? What is holding you back from experiencing LIFE, right now, in this moment?
Turn off the TV, the news. Shut down your computer. Put down your phone. Take a look around you at the magnificence we call life! Isn’t this a glorious thing? We need only to see the beauty in nature and family and loved ones. The beauty in community and friends, touching, hugging, and kissing one another.
Can you for once, see all that you have and be grateful without wishing, hoping, or dreaming for something else? Can you not see the glory in this moment, in your life as it is? Oh, you would conquer the world my love for you are gifted with this divine light.
The more we can see and recognize our stardom, the more others are inspired to shine too. You radiant star dust of a creature, the universe is within.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

With love,

T
